First sail of 2005 and first since 23 December (due to family and work
rather than lack of wind). Four metre weather again - excellent! Sunshine
as well but cold with it - suffered severe hot aches in my hands - after
the hot aches have gone my hands seem to aclimatise to the conditions and
they are usually OK for the rest of the session.
Arrived a little late and holes were starting to appear in the wind, but
had some well powered runs and even made a couple of gybes. Had opened up
foot straps on the advice of Peter Hart's articles, and had been losing
control of the board a bit with feet slipping out in jumps. This time I
just pushed my feet right in and had no problems. Puts you over the board
which seems strange at first after being used to a blasting stance but
excellent for carving up and down the chop and managed some half decent
small jumps.
